ABOUT EVERYDAY LEADER
Everyday Leader is a personal, professional, and leadership development coaching practice based in Suffolk, supporting individuals and organisations across East Anglia. We help people build confidence, develop leadership capability, and achieve meaningful personal and professional growth through tailored 1:1 coaching, leadership programmes, and practical development experiences.
Everyday Leader is led by Colin Tapscott, an experienced leadership coach and passionate advocate for authentic, heart-led leadership. Colin believes that effective leadership begins from the inside out — by developing self-awareness, character, courage, and the ability to lead oneself well before leading others.
With over 25 years of leadership experience in education, including 17 years as a headteacher, Colin has spent his career empowering people to grow, step into leadership, and make a positive impact. Many of those he has coached, mentored, and worked alongside now lead teams and organisations themselves — a lasting legacy of confidence, capability, and personal growth.
At the heart of Everyday Leader’s work is a simple but powerful belief: everyone has the potential to lead. Through 1:1 personal and professional development coaching, leadership workshops, and structured programmes, Colin equips individuals with the clarity, confidence, mindset, and practical tools they need to perform at their best — whether they are emerging leaders, experienced professionals, or those navigating career transition and growth.
Colin is also the author of two inspiring books, Everyday Alchemy: Transforming Your Trash into Treasure and Everyday People, Everyday Leaders, and is a regular conference speaker. His TEDx talk, “Grandad’s Toolbox – A Tool for Every Generation”, captures the essence of his philosophy: leadership isn’t about job titles, but about values, relationships, and practical wisdom that stand the test of time.
